I've been working for Quinn Domiciliary Agency for 11 years. I started as a Support Worker and now, I’m a Senior Care Officer providing a high-level personal, emotional, and social care to individuals within the company. I also undertake the supervising, training, and mentoring for a team of support workers, managing rotas, training new staff, and anything else required of me. I'm on the front line working closely with our service users to ensure a high standard of care and I am one of the main points of contact with service users and families focusing on enabling independence and dignity throughout.

I have been working for QDA since 2014, and it has become a deeply rewarding career for me. During this time, I have experienced significant personal growth and have been supported with excellent training opportunities. This has enabled me to achieve my Level 3 QCF in Health and Social Care, as well as the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services. Working here has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my professional life. I have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who require additional support to live independently and confidently. What I value most about working at QDA is the strong person-centred approach. The focus is always on empowering individuals to make their own choices, develop essential life skills, and live the best life possible. Whether it is providing support with daily tasks, helping individuals access community activities, or even travelling to different parts of the world with them to ensure they experience a full and enriched life, the impact of our work is truly significant and rewarding. I am proud to be part of a service that consistently promotes dignity, respect, inclusion, and opportunity for all.

I began working at Quinn Domiciliary Agency Ltd as a support worker in March 2025. I have an autistic sister which I have helped with her care needs. I choose to work as a support worker as I enjoy helping people and giving back, having personal experience with my sister and growing up with her needing a lot of extra care, inspired me to want to help others and support their needs. I love being a support worker and working with adults with learning disabilities creating a rapport with each individual service user and supporting them in their daily lives.

The company is very big on Equality, Diversity and inclusion so I consider it a safe place to work without the fear of discrimination and racism. The management is approachable and warm, also are my colleagues who are always willing to help. We simply work as a team, so I enjoy every bit of my job with the company.
